CDRWin jest jednym z najstarszych i najbardziej popularnych programów do kopiowania płyt faworyzowanym przez bardziej doświadczonych użytkowników, chociaż ostatnio CloneCD stworzył mu dość poważną konkurencję. Program pracuje pod kontrolą Windows 95/98/Me oraz Windows NT4/2000 i do pracy wymaga zainstalowanych driverów ASPI. Program wbrew swojemu skromnemu - na pierwszy rzut oka - wyglądowi cechuje bardzo duża ilość dostępnych opcji, zwłaszcza tych związanych z tworzeniem obrazów płyt CD (*.iso).
